It looks like we are getting closer to a release of the untethered jailbreak for the iPhone 4S and iPad 2. One reason why the hackers have to be very careful this time is because if there is a major bug in the jailbreak, people might not be able to restore to 5.0.1 if Apple already released iOS 5.1 (iOS 5.1 closes the Corona untether). @SonnyDickson was looking through the iOS 5.1 beta 3 settings application on his iPad and discovered a new section called “About Privacy and Dictation”. When opened, you can see the popup shown above.
Siri or the dictation feature are currently not functional on the iPad 2 running iOS 5.1 beta 3. Maybe it will be an iOS 5.1 launch feature for the iPad, or it may just be an iPad 3 exclusive feature. Continue reading
